POWERBOND 20% UNDERDRIVE PULLEY KIT TO SUIT VF SIDI 3.0L 3.6L LFX LFW LF1 LLT V6

Powerbond Performance 20% under-drive pulley kit to suit MY10 VF V6 3.0L onwards - MY12 3.6L SIDI onwards.

Key benefits:

Under drive balancer kits produce more horsepower by reducing parasitic power loss from driving engine accessories including alternator, power steering and air conditioning.

Smaller diameter harmonic balancer reduces inertia for faster engine acceleration.

Includes:

  •   Powerbond tensioner pulley
  •   Premium performance poly V drive belt included for quiet running and minimum belt slip
  •   Powerbond SFI Race harmonic balancer

Powerbond Power Pulley Kit power figures.

A completely stock unmodified VZ 175kw Alloytec LE0 fitted the 20% Underdrive (race series) balancer kit and made 6 kW at the rear wheels! This figure would be higher if the vehicle was a 190kW Alloytec, SIDI or had a manual. This goes to show what can be done with nothing but a balancer swap.

Toyota FT-86 II: Now Toyota mean it. Really

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

Toyota FT-86 II at Geneva Toyota has been threatening to produce an affordable sports car for quite a while. And when we first saw the Toyota FT-86 Concept at the end of 2009 (and in the flesh at Goodwood last summer) we’d expected to see it launch this year. Despite that expectation, we discovered in January that Toyota were actually taking a different concept to Geneva – the Toyota FT-86 II – dashing any hopes of the FT-86 in any shape or form hitting the road this year.

Fiat unveils new 900cc TwinAir two-cylinder engine

Wed, 07 Jul 2010

Fiats of old used to feature noisy two-cylinders with a fetish for overheating, yet the Italians are at it again, this week releasing details of their new TwinAir two-cylinder 900cc engines. You can see how it works in our video below. The new engines, the first in a series of two-cylinders by the Italians, are designed to trump all other downsizing efforts. Headline figures from the 83bhp twin are 23% more power than the regular 1.2 four-pot and the same as a 1.4 16v - yet with 30% less consumption.

Concept Car of the Week: Mercedes-Benz VRC (1995)

Fri, 31 May 2013
